By Train: Guwahati Railway Station is the closest major railhead, located about 150 km away. From Guwahati, travellers can hire taxis or use public transport to reach Shillong, and subsequently Cherrapunji. By Air: The nearest airport is Shillong’s Umroi Airport, about 91 km away. However, for better connectivity, many travellers prefer Guwahati’s Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport. From there, a combination of road travel and local transport will take you to Wei Sawdong Falls.
