Hello Trekkers!
Bheemana Kindi is located at a distance of 90 km from Bengaluru city with an altitude of 1057m ASL is a good trekking point in kabbalu forest with historic references to pandavas during excile.
It is one of the best trek for beginners with the trail being easy to moderate till the peak.
Kindi means hole/window or a passage. As per historical references when Pandavas were at Agnathvasa, Kunti mata lost her way in the Kabbalu forest. That is when Bheema using his mace made an arc on the big boulder so that the path could be seen far away and Kunti mata could walk.
However geologists consider it to be the doing of weathering and erosion. The huge arc has an height of 100 ft and width of 50ft.
At the foothills there is a small shiva temple. At the peak there is a Basaweshwara temple. The Arc is about 100 feet tall and has a width of 50 feet. Overall Bheemana Kindi is a 1.7 km trek (one way).
Don’t wait, join us!

We went to Bheemana Kindi Trek. The arrangements were really nice. The instructors were very cooperative and friendly. It was a nice trip overall
If you love adventure and are new to Bangalore then spend your weekend with Muddie Trails as it is the best group for you to go on a trip with. We went to the Bheemanakindi Trek for which they picked us up en route and dropped us back on time. We played games in the minibus and stopped for lunch as per required by the group. It might initially seem awkward to go on a trek with a bunch of strangers but everyone was very friendly and helpful there and we really enjoyed it. Shankar & Ravi - the guide, told us about the history of the place and they were not at all reluctant to explore more places as we wished to go uphill and see more scenic beauty. From time to time, they motivated everyone to complete the trek and looked after everyoneās safety throughout the trek. Do remember to wear full track pants and T-shirts to be safe from skin allergies, also do carry antiseptic, sunscreen, caps, towel, chewing gums, energy bars, Bluetooth Speakers, and ample water along with you as extra items for your trek. It will take 4-6 hours for the whole trek (excluding travel time) so do have proper lunch after the trek to avoid headache due to exhaustion. Happy Trekking š¤š
