Monks on Wheels presents you Mulki, a 2-day experience of the exciting session of Kayaking and Stand up paddle in the calm and still backwaters of the magnificent Sambhavi River, scenic and clean beach destination, and a glimpse of history all packed in an exclusive package to bring out the adventure junkie inside you.

Mulki is a small yet beautiful site, thanks to the majestic west coast and the hidden backwaters make it splendour of a destination. Be absolutely mesmerized by the natural beauty of the landscape. Here is your ticket for you to learn and test your maneuverability with our expert-led session of Kayaking and Stand up paddle. In case your thirst for adventure wants more then go of to learn some basics of Surfing.


Warning: You are about to read the most exciting section, a signature hand-crafted, Monks On Wheels experience. This is for people who want to join for some true adventure and unique fun.

Itinerary

Day 0

  • We say bye to Namma Bengaluru at around 10 PM.
    (Please have a light dinner. We don’t want you to starve!)
  • Our experienced organizers will keep you engaged with fun ice breaker session, a great way to bond with your fellow travellers.
  • Next up? Good rest required for the adventure in waiting!

Day 1

  • Reach the property at Mulki in the morning.
  • Check-in and freshen up.
  • Enjoy a healthy dose of fruits and help yourselves with some hot Tea/coffee.
  • For those who are keen on learning the basics of surfing can indulge in the workshop held by the surf club (Extra cost).
  • For others who think surfing isn’t part of your bucket list then we will test your manoeuvrability with a thrilling session of kayaking.
  • Return back to the hotel and have a sumptuous brunch.
  • Relax and dip yourself in the soothing backwaters of Mulki
  • Enjoy a mesmerizing evening session of Stand Up Paddle
  • Return back to the hotel.
  • Enjoy a healthy dose of fruits and help yourselves with some hot Tea/coffee yet again.
  • Gather around for the campfire (if weather permits)
  • Warm up, indulge in activities, or dance the evening away, hosted by our fun-experts.
  • Dig into a delicious dinner at the cafe (Self-Sponsored).
  • Sleep like a baby at our overnight stay in comfortable AC dorms with attached bathroom.

Day 2

  • Wake up to the sounds of nature
  • Enjoy a healthy dose of fruits and help yourselves with some hot Tea/coffee.
  • Take another round of kayaking to endeavour around a mystical island that surfaces only during low tides.
  • Return back to the rooms; freshen up and check-out at 11am.
  • Enjoy an authentic brunch at the property.
  • Start the return journey to Bengaluru. Wait, did you think the fun was over!!?
  • Sing along, dance to good music and play interactive games on the way.
  • Quick stop for Evening snacks & Tea/Coffee.
  • Continue our journey back to Bangalore en-route a sumptuous Dinner (Veg & Non-Veg).
  • Reach Namma Bengaluru in the night (around 11 pm) with memories of a lifetime!

What to Expect

About Trip:
  • Kayaking Duration – 2-2.5 Hours
  • Stand up paddle duration – 2-2.5 Hours
  • All activities are to be done with proper gear and under expert supervision only.
  • Homely accommodation in comfortable AC dorms on 3-4 sharing basis with attached bathroom.
  • There will be no refund for unused services.

Travel:
  • Tempo Traveler or Mini Bus (with push back seats).
  • Note: This trip involves overnight journey on a push back Seater (not sleeper or semi-sleeper).
  • We request you to book this trip only if you can handle slight discomfort (especially last row of the vehicle).

Advisory:
  • You have the option to make your own transportation arrangements (car/bike/public transport) to join the event for which per person price: Rs. 4969/- (No hidden charges)
  • Partial payment of Rs. 3600/- can be made to book your slot. Remaining amount to be paid online/cash on the day of the trip
  • Our leads will have radio communication device as a part of safety measure
  • Comfortable accommodation will be in AC dorms 3-4 sharing basis with attached bathrooms.
  • A Whatsapp group will be created 2-3 days before the event where all the necessary information like things to carry, pick up points, time etc will be provided
  • We need a minimum of 9 people to conduct the event or the event might be cancelled with a full refund
  • In an extremely rare scenario, due to unforeseen incidents like natural calamities, roadblocks etc. or restrictions by the government or forest department, the itinerary might be changed/modified depending on the situation.
  • There will be no refund for the unused services.

The surroundings around the Homestay/Hotel/Camp will make you feel very close to Nature.

What's next after booking your trip?

  • A Whatsapp group shall be created on the trip day and Vehicle & Trip Leader details will be shared.
  • This trip involves traveling with strangers and night stays (if any). Please be mindful that:
    • It is mandatory to share your personal information with the team along with a copy of your government approved ID card.
    • You will need to share your co-traveler(s) details if you have booked more than one seat.
  • Live location of the vehicle will be sent in the group once it starts at the first point.

Terms & Conditions

  • The itinerary is fixed. No special requests to change itinerary/schedule shall be entertained. Do not give advice(s) to the Trip Leader(s) to change the itinerary.
  • Cooperate with the organizer(s) in following the schedule set for the day (especially getting up and getting ready in the morning). This will ensure travelers won’t miss out on the real fun part that is traveling.
  • Every traveler is responsible for his/her for your own safety. Don’t indulge in any illegal or silly activity that causes harm to you or fellow travelers.
  • Do not wander into the forest away from the designated trail for treks. There may be snakes, scorpions, and dangerous animals.
  • Unexpected situations: It may happen we do not cover all the places mentioned in the itinerary because of unpredictable reasons like bad weather, landslides, wild animal presence, abrupt blocking of sites by the police/forest department, delay in travel because of an issue with our group itself, traffic conditions, etc. In most cases, if the time permits, the organizer(s) will take travelers to an alternative place. But in some cases, we may have to skip a place altogether.
  • Absolutely no littering. We swear to protect our environment.
  • No alcohol & smoking during travel, treks, and other outdoor activities. There would be a separate window and space (usually at night) to have these at the campsite/homestay for interested people.
  • Travelers are expected to respect each other and help each other. Avoid discussing sensitive matters like sex, politics, and religion/caste/race.
  • Using foul or abusive language, eve-teasing, arguing with fellow travelers/organizer(s), and/or involving in the physical assault will not be accepted and will stand a chance of being deserted by the group then and there.
  • The event will stand canceled if less than 8 travelers signed up for the trip/trek which will be informed 24 hours before the trip start time.
  • Every traveler is expected to sign a liability/waiver form given by the organizer(s) after boarding the vehicle. This liability form will discharge Muddie Trails of any unexpected incident like injury/death/theft etc.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation by Traveler

  • 80% refund/100% postponement if you inform about your cancellation before 48 hours of the event start time. An email has to be sent to muddietrails@gmail.com to raise a cancellation request.
  • No refund/postponing is allowed within 48 hours of the event start time whatever is the reason (Health, Accident, Covid, Family crisis, Office issue, or anything else).
  • Alternatively, you may postpone your ticket to the future event 48 hours before the event start time. (Allowed once per booking ONLY)
  • No refund/postponing is allowed for partial payment – booking fee – which is done to book your slot.
  • No refund during/after the event.

Cancellation by Muddie Trails

Muddie Trails may decide to cancel the event if there are less than 8 travelers signed up for the trip/trek.

What if we don’t get the minimum number of people for the trip?
We have 2 options in this case:
Option 1: Complete refund.
Option 2: Switch to any other trip of the same weekend or future weekends. The difference amount will be collected from you or paid back according to the new trip cost.


Cancellation due to external factors

Muddie Trails may have to cancel the event in case of external factors that are beyond our control like Natural Disasters, Extreme Weather Conditions, Red Alerts, Political Disturbances, Bandh/Curfews, Local Issues, Road Blocks, Train cancellations, Covid-19 or any other disease outbreaks etc.

In these scenarios:

  • No Refund is allowed.
  • 100% trip amount can be used for any other new trip of the same weekend or future weekends. The difference amount will be collected from you or paid back according to the new trip cost.
  • Once you confirm your participation on the new trip, all the above Cancellation policies will apply for the same.
