Arasinagundi Falls is about 6 kilometers from Kollur and is one of the most stunning waterfalls in the Kodachadri region. To get there, you need to trek from the base of the Kodachadri hills. The falls are named Arasinagundi because of the yellowish color (arasina in Kannada) that appears when the water hits the ground.

The falls are deep in the forest and close to Kodachadri hills. To enter the forest, which starts about 2 kilometers from Kollur, you need permission from the Mookambika Wildlife Sanctuary’s forest officers. The path to the falls can be tricky, especially during the monsoon season when rain can wash out the trail. It’s a good idea to have a local guide with you to help navigate the route.
