By Road: If you’re looking for a quick trip, the Dudhiware Khind Route might be your best bet, as it’s the shortest route. But keep in mind, the roads around Lonavala and Ambegaon can be a bit tricky, so drive carefully. On the other hand, if you enjoy scenic drives, the Kamshet Route could be more appealing. It passes through places like Kamshet and Pavananagar, offering picturesque landscapes, even though it might take a bit longer.

By Train: Taking a train from Mumbai to Lonavala is both convenient and scenic. The journey treats you to beautiful views along the way. Once you reach Lonavala, you can hop on a Pune local train and get off at Mavli, or you can book a cab directly to the Pawna campsite. The 32 km ride is sure to build excitement for the adventure ahead at the campsite. If you need any help or suggestions, just ask!

By Bus: You have a few options here. You can take a private bus from Mumbai to Lonavala, and then hire a cab to Pawna Lake. Another option is to catch a day bus from Mumbai to Khandala, and then travel the rest of the way to Pawna Lake by road, either by cab or another mode of transport. Both choices offer flexibility and convenience, ensuring a comfortable journey to the stunning Pawna Lake campsite.

The prime time to explore Pawna Lake in Lonavala is from October to May, steering clear of the heavy monsoon rains from June to September.
