The Grand Karnataka Roadtrip

• Reach the adventure town of Dandeli early morning, check in to our beautiful jungle camp
• Freshen up and fuel up with nice breakfast, get your packet of Lunch from the Organizer
• Drive to the adventure land on the banks of river Kali & indulge in day-long water activities listed in the highlights section above
• Reach back to the camp late evening, freshen up
• Bonfire at night with long conversations
• Music & dance
• Well deserved hot veg and non veg dinner
• Rest in the military tents with beds, blankets and pillows

• Wake up call at 6 AM, quick freshen up, and start our 3 hour journey towards west coast
• Have Breakfast on our way towards Gokarna town
• Go on an amazing Beach trek covering Paradise Beach, Half Moon Beach, Devils Hell Beach and finally the most famous Om Beach
• Take a dip in the Sea where ever you wish to
• Chill out and have leisurely self sponsored Lunch at one of the shacks
• Freshen up at shower rooms of Om Beach
• Get set for amazing sunset at Kudle/Om Beach where Sun goes straight into Ocean
• Drive to Nirvana Beach and check into our Private Beach Camp
• Music & dance on the beach under open sky
• Well deserved hot veg and non veg dinner

• Wake up call at 8 AM, freshen up, breakfast and start our 3 hour journey into the heart of Western Ghats
• Reach forest homestay of Kodachadri, have fulfilling Lunch
• Buckle up for a thrilling off-road Jeep ride to the top of Kodachadri mountain as jeeps pass along dense forest and rich vegetation
• Revel at the awesome landscape amidst the clouds, cool breeze hitting your face, relax for a while, rejuvenate and soothe your soul
• Take the Jeep ride back, explore Nagara Fort
• Reach home stay by late evening, relax for a while
• Bonfire, long conversations with sumptuous veggie delights for dinner
• Rest in the forest home stay rooms

• Fuel up with nice breakfast, grab packed lunch
• Drive to the base of ancient Kavaledurga Fort & hike up to enjoy the amazing views of the rain forest.
• This is a 2.5 km easy hike (one way) with stunning views from the top. There is an ancient temple in the middle and many ponds that served as water stores at that time.
• Head into the rain forest of western ghats take a dip under untouched waterfalls
• Head back to the homestay by late evening
• Bonfire at night with long conversations in the dark of rain forest
• Another tasty and hot veggie dinner
• Rest in the forest home stay rooms

• Wake up call at 8 AM, freshen up, Breakfast and start our 4 hour journey to the beautiful hill station of Sakleshpur
• Check in to our Coffee Estate Home stay
• Have an awesome veg and non veg Lunch
• Hike up Pandavas mountain and enjoy the stunning valley of Sakleshpur mountains
• Get back to homestay, relax for a while
• Have a hot Chai or Coffee in the cold weather
• Campfire & music, become your own DJ 😉
• The most delicious veg and non veg dinner 😉
• Social gathering in the last night together
• Rest on the cozy beds of home stay rooms

• Wake up call at 5 AM to witness amazing sunrise above the clouds of Sakleshpur mountains
• Off road Jeep ride to the base of Devil’s hill
• Have Breakfast
• Walk through the Coffee estates to reach Habbi waterfalls & play in the water
• Come back to Homestay, freshen up, pack your bags, have Lunch
• Head to the beautiful star shaped Manjarabad fort & take a lot of selfies
• Visit beautiful Hemavathy backwaters on our way back to Bangalore
• Drive back, reach home by night.

• Toiletries, moisturizer, light towel, lip balm, wet wipes, toothbrush, toothpaste, 
• A lightweight large Backpack for the trip (no suitcase, no trolley)
• A small backpack for the trek (to carry a Lunch packet, water bottle, snacks, etc)
• Photo identity proof with address (Aadhar/Passport/Voter ID)
• Poncho or rainproof jacket with a hood (from June to September)
• Track pants, full sleeve T-shirt for the trek
• Cap/Hat (to avoid getting tanned)
• Sunglasses (to keep your eyes fresh)
• Power bank, charger, camera, binoculars (if you wish to)
• Proper water bottle for your trip. You may fill at our homestay
• Disposable garbage covers (To separate used/unused, dry/wet clothes)
• Good grip trekking shoes or sandals
• Your personal medications, if any
• Pair of water wear to take a dip in the waterfalls/sea
• Carrying a handwash/sanitizer/tissues will help during the trip
• Carry your jerkin/sweater – it can get cold at night
• Carry a lil bit of cash for misc. Expenses
• Don’t carry expensive items. You are responsible for your own belongings.

If the trip is confirmed:

• A Whatsapp group shall be created on the trip day and Vehicle & Trip Leader details will be shared.
• Live location of the vehicle will be sent in the group once it starts at the first point.

What if trip is still not confirmed because of less than 8 people signed up?

• Our Booking Team will try to make the trip confirmed till the afternoon of trip day (usually Fridays).
• If the trip is not confirmed by then, we will give other confirmed & available trip options.
• Guests may either choose one of the available trips or opt for full refund.

• The itinerary is fixed. No special requests to change itinerary/schedule shall be entertained. Do not give advice(s) to the Trip Leader(s) to change the itinerary.
• Cooperate with the organizer(s) in following the schedule set for the day (especially getting up and getting ready in the morning). This will ensure travelers won’t miss out on the real fun part that is traveling.
• Every traveler is responsible for his/her for your own safety. Don’t indulge in any illegal or silly activity that causes harm to you or fellow travelers.
• Do not wander into the forest away from the designated trail for treks. There may be snakes, scorpions, and dangerous animals.
• Unexpected situations: It may happen we do not cover all the places mentioned in the itinerary because of unpredictable reasons like bad weather, landslides, wild animal presence, abrupt blocking of sites by the police/forest department, delay in travel because of an issue with our group itself, traffic conditions, etc. In most cases, if the time permits, the organizer(s) will take travelers to an alternative place. But in some cases, we may have to skip a place altogether.
• Absolutely no littering. We swear to protect our environment.
• No alcohol & smoking during travel, treks, and other outdoor activities. There would be a separate window and space (usually at night) to have these at the stay for interested people.
• Travelers are expected to respect each other and help each other. Avoid discussing sensitive matters like sex, politics, and religion/caste/race.
• Using foul or abusive language, eve-teasing, arguing with fellow travelers/organizer(s), and/or involving in the physical assault will not be accepted and will stand a chance of being deserted by the group then and there.
• The event will stand canceled if less than 8 travelers signed up for the trip/trek.
• Every traveler is expected to sign a liability/waiver form given by the organizer(s) after boarding the vehicle. This liability form will discharge Muddie Trails of any unexpected incident like injury/death/theft etc.

Cancellation by Traveler

• 80% refund if a cancellation request is sent 30 days before the trip start date.
• 50% refund if a cancellation request is sent between 30 to 15 days before the trip start date.
• An email has to be sent to muddietrails@gmail.com to raise a cancellation request.
• No refund within 15 days of the event start time whatever is the reason (Health, COVID, Accident, Family crisis, Office issue, or anything else).
• No refund during/after the event.
• No refund on the partial payment (advance) done to block your seat for the trip.

Cancellation by Muddie Trails

Muddie Trails may decide to cancel the event if there are less than 3 travelers signed up for the trip/trek.

What if we don’t get the minimum number of people for the trip?
We have 2 options in this case:
Option 1: Complete refund.
Option 2: Switch to any other long trip of the same dates or future dates. The difference amount will be collected from you or paid back according to the new trip cost.

Note: We do not recommend to book flight tickets until the trip is confirmed with atleast 3 travelers signed up.

Cancellation due to external factors

Muddie Trails may have to cancel the event in case of external factors that are beyond our control like Natural Disasters, Extreme Weather Conditions, Red Alerts, Political Disturbances, Bandh/Curfews, Local Issues, Road Blocks, Train cancellations, Covid-19 or any other disease outbreaks etc.

In these scenarios:

• No Refund is allowed.
• 100% trip amount can be used for any other new trip of the same weekend or future weekends. The difference amount will be collected from you or paid back according to the new trip cost.
• Once you confirm your participation on the new trip, all the above Cancellation policies will apply for the same.
