  • This is a 1.5 Km easy trek (one way) with beautiful views of the rainforest from the top.
  • Head back to the vehicle, have packed lunch at the base.

  • Say bye-bye to our homestay.
  • Go on a drive to Kundadri hill, which is incidentally the highest point in the Agumbe western ghats range. Tempos can easily go to the top of the hill but a Bus cannot. We usually get open top vehicles carrying people up and down. Morning mist, along with floating clouds gives a mesmerizing experience.
  • From Kundadri one can have a sneak peek of the extremely dense Agumbe rainforest filled with rich vegetation, pristine rivers, and gigantic lakes.
  • Take a pit stop at Agumbe view point. Spend 15-20 mins here.
  • Head to colorful and buzzing Malpe beach on the west coast.
  • Break for Lunch at a beach restaurant.
  • Walk barefoot, play on the beach and indulge in plenty of water sports (if they are open).
  • Take a ferry ride (self-paid) to St. Mary’s island (if it is open).
  • Enjoy a peaceful sunset overlooking endless ocean.
  • Start back to Bangalore late evening, have dinner enroute at a Dhaba.

I travelled with Muddie Trails for the first time and it was truly a very wonderful experience. I went to Agumbe rainforest and Malpe beach trip this new year and it turned out to be the best decision I could have made for a new year getaway. I met some really fun people and the trip leaders organising the trip were great. The trip was executed perfectly as per the itinery and this certainly won’t be my last trip with Muddie Trails in 2023 🙂

I embarked on a solo trek to Agumbe, Karnataka, with this travel agency, and it was a remarkable experience. The agency’s meticulous planning and execution ensured a hassle-free journey. From transportation to accommodation, everything was well-organized. The adventures in Agumbe were thrilling, from challenging treks through lush rainforests to visits to breathtaking waterfalls. All thanks to Kruthika the trip was seamless and happening. What made the trip truly special was the friendships formed. What began as a group of strangers quickly became a close-knit community. We shared stories, supported each other, and celebrated together, creating lasting bonds. In summary, my solo trek with this agency was unforgettable, filled with adventure and wonderful company. I’m grateful for the well-organized trip, the incredible experiences, and the new friends made. I look forward to more adventures with this agency in the future.
