Ethina buja is one of the best treks for beginners who want to explore western Ghats.
Ethina buja also called as Shishila Gudda is a mountain peak located at a distance of 25 km from mudigere. It is a part of charmadi range at an altitude of 1300m from sea level.
Ethina Buja in kannada means ethina – ox and Buja – shoulders, as the peak forms the shape of the ox’s shoulder.
Trek starts from Nanya byraveshwara temple, byrapura. It is 6kms round trip trek and takes approximately 3 hours.
Tall trees, beautiful views and splendid natural backdrops accompany your way up the tiring, yet rewarding journey. If lucky, one can see the spotted deer.
From the peak, we can enjoy the views of Devaramane range, charmadi range and shishila Valley.
Kyatanamakki hill station is located near horanadu of chikmagalur district.
Kyatanamakki is a true offroaders paradise. The climb will surely give you an adrenaline rush. Once you reach the top, enjoy the magnificent view of the lush green range of kudremukha mountains.
