We take typical tourist vehicles like tempo traveler, mini-bus, Innova, Sumo, etc. which are good to travel to every nook and corner of India. Most of our places are offbeat with bad roads, deep into the mountains or valleys. So this mode of traveling suits best for us.
Note that these vehicles won’t provide the luxury of a sleeper or semi-sleeper buses which are meant for point-to-point travel between cities.
The typical group size is 10 to 12 travelers. However, based on the popularity of the destination or the rush on a given weekend, the group size may increase to 20 to 30 travelers.
Note that the capacity of homestay or campsite also plays a part in group size. Places like Gokarna, Dandeli, etc. can accommodate more people.
