Arunachal is the least densely populated state of India which is pure, peaceful, unpolluted and unmatched scenic beauty. The most famous destination of Arunachal, which is also called The Land of Rising Sun, is Tawang. Muddie Trails, in collaboration with Monks on Wheels is presing a group trip to Tawang.
The Tawang valley, situated at a height of 10,000 feet above sea level is a sight to behold. Tucked amidst the high passes of eastern Himalayan range and home to The Lamas, Tawang boasts the largest Buddist Monastary in the country that houses 28 feet high golden Buddha statue.
The high passes of Tawang are home to many glacial lakes that are an epitome of peace and tranquility. To reach Tawang, one has to pass through Sela pass at an altitude of 13,700 feet. Sela is one of the highest passes in the world close to the international border where travelers can enjoy a beautiful journey sighting hoards of Army vehicles.
The stone village of Dirang, the apple orchards town of Bomdila, the Indo-China border pass Bum La at an altitude of 15200 ft above sea level are added attractions. Bumla pass is a great example of how Indian soldiers protect our country at harshest of terrains and climates.
The colorful and ancient architecture of monasteries & stupas is well complimented by the smile & hospitality of people, and rich traditions of the Buddist culture.

It was a very good experience travelling with muddie trails.10/10 go for it .
I have successfully completed my Tawang trip with Muddie Trails, and it was a wonderful experience. All the places mentioned in the itinerary were covered as promised. The trip guide, Mr. Karthik and the trip organizer Mr Arpit were extremely helpful from day one and took great care of everyone throughout the journey. I felt very safe during the entire trip, which meant a lot to me. The overall experience was amazing, and the fellow travelers in the group were equally wonderful. I truly enjoyed every moment of the trip. Thank you, Muddie Trails, for making this such a memorable and enjoyable experience😊.
Great experience with Tawang with Kaziranga trip. As there are more monasteries and less snowfall, so did not have much mind blowing experience by the places other than bumla pass.
Trip package side everything was well planned, good home-stays & hosts ,smooth travel, and excellent coordination throughout with Friendly captain trip lead Karthik .
Tawang with Kaziranga Backpacking Trip was amazing! 😍 Trip Lead Kartik was super helpful and ensured everything ran smoothly. Highly recommend MuddieTrails! 👍 …
I recently had a Kaziranga and Tawang trip with these guys and I would say this is one of the best trips I had so far. The batch is excellent, trip lead Karthik and Operations Manager Arpit really did a great job with all the arrangements. I enjoyed the trip from the start till the end. Arpit and Karthik helped us for our Kamakhaya visit and nearby places to explore by guiding us through every way possible inspite of not having this in their iternary. Looking forward for more trips with you guys 🥰🤗
