Hello Backpackers!

Sikkim is gifted with stunning natural wonders like high mountain passes, numerous glaciers, alpine lakes, chilling cold rivers, hot water springs and rich culture. As part of this community trip, we will cover Gangtok, Tsongmo Lake (Nathu La pass), Pelling, Ravangla, along with Darjeeling.

We will start the trip with Queen of Hills – Darjeeling. Tea Estates, Batasia Loop, Peace Pagoda and Japanese Temple, and Ghoom Monastery are some of the places we will tick off in Darjeeling.

Pelling, lying at the foothills of Mt.Khangchendzonga offers breathtaking views of world’s 3rd highest mountain. It has interesting places like ancient Rabdentse Ruins, Khecheopalri Lake and Rymbi Orange orchards. Ravangla is a quiet town surrounded by Himalayan peaks where a giant statue of Buddha sits peacefully. This place called Buddha park which is a blend of spirituality and nature, also offers a museum with paintings and writings on the life of Buddha.

From Gangtok, we will take a day trip to high altitude places like Tsomgo Lake (Changu Lake), Baba Mandir with an interesting “Ghost” story behind it, and the NathuLa Pass Indo-China border post.

We will end the trip by giving a visit to tourist attractions of Gangtok like Hanuman Tok, Ganesh Tok & the Chougyal Monastery.
