Itinerary

Day 1 - Delhi to Shimla Night Journey

  • Night 9 PM: Board AC Volvo Bus at Kashmiri Gate or Majnu ka Tila in Delhi, overnight journey to Shimla.

Day 2 - Shimla & Kufri Sightseeing, Shimla Stay

  • Check into the Shimla Hotel, freshen up, have Breakfast.
  • Start the trip with a visit to hill top Kali Bari temple that is dedicated to Godess Kali, also known as Shyamala. Infact, the name Shimla came into existance from Shyamala.
  • Give a visit to British era iconic Town Hall building. This architectural master piece is a very good photographic place too.
  • Visit one of the most famous land marks of Shimla is the Christ Church which is located at the heart of the Mall road.
  • Next is line is the tourists favourite – Shimla Mall Road that has numerous cafes & restaurents. Sipping a hot coffee enjoying the scenic views of Himalayas is a surreal experience.
  • Go on a drive to Kufri, a quaint little hill station about 20km from Shimla located at high altitude. A visit to Shimla is incomplete without Kufri. One can even go on a Pony ride to different view points.
  • Head back to hotel, finish Dinner & take good rest.

Day 3 - Shimla to Kullu via Mandi & Kullu Stay

  • Check out of Shimla hotel after early Breakfast.
  • Today we will start our road trip to a famous hill station up north, Kullu.Β 
  • Enroute picturesque journey to Kullu, we will visit historical Gurudwara Sahib of Mandi. One can take blessings of Guru ji, can also have delicious Langar lunch.
  • We will also take pit stops at places like Pandoh Dam & Shri Hanogi Mata temple along with a Lunch break.
  • If you are not a spiritial kind & love adventure, we can head straight to Kullu and indulge in famous White Water River Rafting on the free flowing Beas river.
  • Check into the Hotel by late evening, chill out for sime time.
  • Finish Dinner and wrap up for the day.

Day 4 - Kasol, Manikaran Day Trip, Manali Stay

  • After Breakfast, check out of Kullu stay & head towards Parvati valley.
  • Kasol, the Hippies paradise, also known as ‘Mini Israel’ is a beautiful village situated in Parvati Valley on the banks of the Parvati River. One can loose track of time by sitting at a cafe adjacent to the river. Take a stroll around the village, and don’t forget to try Israeli or middle eastern food while you are at Kasol like Humus, Pita, Phalaphel etc.
  • Few kilometers ahead of Kasol is famous Manikaran, a holy place of Sikhs. The village is dotted with several temples and the Gurdwara Manikaran Sahib. The hot water springs of Manikaran are famous for their healing properties. After visiting the holi place, taking a nice hot water spring bath is a rejuvenating experience. There are separate chambers for men and women to bathe.
  • Start to Manali (1.5 hours drive) by early evening, and check into the hotel.
  • Take a stroll on Mall road, have Dinner and take rest.

Day 5 - Solang Valley & Atal Tunnel, Manali Stay

  • Freshen up & have Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Go on a trip to Solang Valley which is also known as the ‘snow point’. Solang valley is one of the favourite places for tourists situated at an altitude of 8,500 feet above sea level. It offers a spectacular scenery snow clad glaciers & mountain peaks. People can indulge in adventure sports like parachuting, paragliding, skating, zorbing among other things. The majestic Solang Valley is renowned for its vast slopes of greenery and adventure activities.
  • Atal Tunnel is a highway tunnel built under the Rohtang Pass through the mighty Himalayas on the Manali-Leh highway. At a length of 9.02 km, Atal Tunnel is an engineering marvel and the world’s longest high altitude tunnel sitting at 3000 meters above sea level.
  • After enjoying hot cup of Chai at the other side of Atal Tunnel, head back to Manali.
  • Night stay at Manali Hotel.

Day 6 - Manali Sightseeing, Return Journey to New Delhi

  • Check out of Manali hotel after Breakfast.
  • Start the day with ancient Hadimba Devi Temple with a superbly crafted four-tiered pagoda roof.
  • The temple is surrounded by beautiful Van Vihar Park full of tall deodar trees.
  • Himalayan Nyingmapa Buddhist Monastery which is one of the most famous monasteries situated in north India. The monastery contains wonderful architecture and a tranquil environment.
  • Another popular attraction near Manali is Vashisht which is known for it’s hot springs. One can also find old beautiful temples dedicated to Sage Vashistha and Lord Rama here.
  • End the day with Manali Mall Road shopping. Pack your bags full with winter clothes, apparel and food items from Himachal.
  • Catch return Bus to Delhi by night.

Day 7 - Drop at New Delhi

  • The Bus drops us at Kashmiri gate or Majnu ka Tila.
  • You may book a cab or take Delhi metro to catch your flight. It’sΒ safe to book flight to hometown by evening.

  • 50% amount has to be paid to confirm the trip.
  • Remaining 50% shall be paid at the beginning of the trip after boarding vehicle.

What's next after booking your trip?

  • Operations Manager will get in touch with you close to the trip dates.
  • A Whatsapp group will be created few days before to coordinate everything.
  • Instructions about itinerary, places, stays, timings, any special scenarios etc., will be given in the same group during the trip.

Things to carry

  • Toiletries, moisturizer, light towel, lip balm, wet wipes, toothbrush, toothpaste etc.
  • A lightweight large Backpack for the entire trip (50-60 liters).
  • A small bag for basic items (to carry valuables, water bottle, snacks, etc. for outdoor activities).
  • Photo identity proof with address (Aadhar/Passport/Voter ID – shall be collected online before trip)
  • Thermal inners and warm clothes in winter (cold climate).
  • A rainproof jacket with a hood depending on weather forecast (to protect from cold winds, sudden rain).
  • Thick socks, track pants, full sleeve t-shirts (to keep your body warm).
  • Cap/Hat/Sunglasses (to protect from harmful sun rays).
  • Sunscreen (SPF 50 or more).
  • Power bank, charger, camera, binoculars (if you wish to).
  • Hand sanitizer and liquid hand wash for Camping and outdoors.
  • Proper water bottle for your trip. You may fill at our stays.
  • Disposable garbage covers (To separate used/unused, wet/dry clothes).
  • Water-resistant good grip shoes for travel, extra slippers to use at stays.
  • Personal medications that you may feel necessary (remember ghat roads, cold climate), basic first aid kit.

Terms & Conditions

  • The itinerary is fixed. No special requests to change itinerary/schedule shall be entertained. Guests are not allowed to ask Driver to change the itinerary.
  • Guests are expected to respect & follow instructions of Driver & the Operations Manager in order to smoothly cover places in the itinerary.
  • Every guest is responsible for his/her for your own safety. Don’t indulge in any illegal or silly activity that causes harm to self or locals.
  • No alcohol & smoking during journey and outdoor activities. You may consume liquor or smoke at the stay (night time) in a responsible & moderate way.
  • Using foul or abusive language, threatening, and/or involving in a physical assault will not be accepted and will stand a chance of complaint at the local Police Station.
  • Unexpected situations: In rare scenarios, we cannot cover all the places mentioned in the itinerary because of unpredictable reasons like bad weather, landslides, wild animal presence, abrupt blocking of sites by the local authorities, traffic conditions, etc. In most cases, if the time permits, the Operations Manager will suggest alternate places. But in some cases, we may not have any choice. No refund is applicable in such scenarios.
  • Every guest is expected to sign a liability/waiver form given by the Operations Manager online. This liability form will discharge Muddie Trails of any unexpected incident like injury/death/theft etc.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation by Guests

  • 80% refund if a cancellation request is sent 30 days before the trip start date.
  • 50% refund if a cancellation request is sent between 30 to 15 days before the trip start date.
  • An email has to be sent to muddietrails@gmail.com to raise a cancellation request.
  • No refund within 15 days of the event start time whatever is the reason (Health, COVID, Accident, Family crisis, Office issue, or anything else).
  • No refund during/after the event.
  • No refund on the partial payment (advance) done to block your seat for the trip.

Cancellation due to external factors

If the event has to be cancelled due to external factors that are beyond our control like – Natural Disasters, Extreme Weather Conditions, Red Alerts, Political Disturbances, War, Bandh/Curfews, Local Issues, Covid-19 or any other disease outbreaks etc..

In such scenarios:

  • No Refund is applicable.
  • 100% trip amount can be used for future dates.
